"My name is Lisa Matherly and 2005 is finally starting to turn around for me. After recently being laid off by a company that I had been employed with for almost 15 years I decided to go to work for myself. I had taken pictures in the past for a Realty company and thought that 360 Real Estate Tours would be a great way to make a living. There began my quest to choose the right technology for my company. At first, as I am sure anyone would do, I began by looking at the least expensive virtual tour solutions to keep my startup costs low. I never gave a second thought about partnering with a large national player like RTV since the start-up price was more than I wanted to pay. It was here that I learned the big difference between the cost to do something and simply paying the price once to do the right thing.

First off I purchased a One-Shot Lens, camera equipment, and hosting services aiming to do everything myself from start to finish. Shortly after starting up the business I began to encounter many obstacles regarding the quality of my images. I was unable to use the flash to light up dark areas in the home. Windows were constantly getting over blown due to exposure problems, and I was unable to download the images from the tour to deliver to the clients for offline marketing. On the tour management side of things I was spending a lot of time setting the tours up and editing them. I needed a change and quick!

In pursuit of sharp, detailed imaging, I dropped the One-Shot system and purchased a shelf product stitching program online bringing my total cost so far in starting the company well over $2000.00. I knew however that by moving to an individual image stitch system I would be able to get nice window shots, use the cameras on-board flash when needed, offer 180 degree panos, and most importantly I could offer the agents printable panoramas for use outside the tour to market the home. I knew that I was on the right track but soon into my first few tours with I found myself up to my neck in even more problems. The stitching accuracy varied from room to room, and even though the quality was much better than that of a One-Shot my image editing time was killing my profits.

Again, it was time to react before my business blew up on me costing me the entire thing. It was then that I turned to the experts at RTV for help. Within minutes of being on the phone with them I knew that I was dealing with the right company. I took comfort knowing that they already had hundreds of successful dealers in operation all around the world and that they could have me in full operation within 15 days of my purchase. While the entire business package was priced at about $1500.00 it came with literally everything that I would need to drive my company. From power point presentations to legal contracts RTV had me covered. I realized quickly that had I don't this from the start it would have saved me lots of time, frustration, and most importantly, money.

After using the system now for a couple weeks I can happily report back that it is very simple to use and my clients love it! My virtual tour company is coming along nicely and thanks to RTV I can now offer more bells and whistles than ever before without spending more time developing the tours.

Finally I must add that during the initial sales presentation over the phone RTV told me that they would even send jobs my way. I thought that would be great but I didn't want to get my hopes up. Literally two weeks after being trained, their automatic Tour Track system dispatched me some tour deals right in my area. I couldn't believe it and I was so thrilled to be a part of the largest virtual tour network in the world. To everyone out there trying to find their way through the mess of possible solutions for building virtual tours look no further; unless of course, your area is already taken."
