A few months ago I was at a breakfast meeting for the Albemarle Area Association of Realtors, and they were thanking the real estate agents who had donated money and time for the Habitat for Humanity houses that were being built in our area. I felt that I needed to do something to help out. After the meeting I had this idea that I thought just might work. I could help out and they could show the finished house on their web site. I’ll donate a real estate virtual tour. What a great way for the people of Elizabeth City to see the outstanding community service that the agents do behind the scenes!

I contacted Stephanie Bateman at the Albemarle Area Association of Realtors to tell her my plan. She in turn got in touch with the good people in the Elizabeth City area of Habitat for Humanity. They all thought this was a great idea, they will post the tour on their web site and I will post it on my web site www.DigitalDaveK.com.

Well Monday the 17th of December 2007 I published the first half of the tour. Click here to view it. One house is ready for the virtual tour; the other is being finished and I will take and finish the tour when it is completed.

Being a small business owner and supporting your community is only part of a successful business. Being involved with the Chamber of Commerce and the Realtor Association helps to put my virtual tour company’s name out in the front of the real estate agents. Soon enough your name gets around town and people know you for who you are as well as the quality of work you perform.
