Missing Thumbnails on Project Gallery

You may notice that older projects in a Project Gallery has thumbnails that are missing, white, or very low quality. This is because there were thumbnail-related improvements made after the project was created that only applied to new projects. A simple fix is to use the Thumbnail Creator to assign a new Tour Thumb.

1. Acquire the image you’d like to use as the new thumbnail. If you’re looking for but can’t find the original image, try going to the project’s Links/Deliverables page, clicking the link for Individual Project Media Download, and download it from there.

2. Edit the Project, go to the Media Manager, and double click the lowest-numbered still or panoramic scene to open it in the Scene Editor.

3. Click Thumbnail Creator at the top of the page.

4. Click Browse and then select your desired image.

5. Adjust the position and cropping of the image. You’ll likely want to zoom out so the entire thumbnail is visible.

6. Toggle “Mark As Tour Thumb” to green (right) and click Save.

You should now be able to refresh the Project Gallery and see the updated thumbnail.
