Real Estate Photography Delivery System Updates

Real estate photographers, drone pilots, and virtual tour creators,

2024 is off to a magnificent start over here at RTV! In January, we added thirteen (13) noteworthy features and quality-of-life improvements to our real estate photography delivery system. We strongly encourage you to review each new feature and update below. Several of these updates will help you with your workflow and save time, while others are new features we’ve added to our system.

Much of what we pushed out in January concerns our calendar integration and online booking system. Please have a look, and be sure to let us know what we did last month that you liked most. If there’s a particular feature or function you would want us to add, just let us know on social media or by calling us. Since 1999, the RTV system has been built by professional photographers’ requirements, suggestions, and recommendations worldwide.

Finally, we’re excited to invite you to our next live Webinar. Feel free to register for the live event here – https://www.realtourvision.com/rtv-webinars/

During the show, a few key RTV team members will accompany me, and together, we’ll look at several of the new updates that have come to fruition from last December to the present. If you’re looking to switch systems this year to help you stand out, increase your bookings, gain efficiency, start utilizing features that are passing you by, or you just want to pick up some jobs from our ever-growing list of national accounts, you’ll want to come to this show!

Enjoy the following real estate photography system updates for January:

1-23-23
Drivetime & Padding for First/Last Shoot of the Day – As a real estate photographer, telling your customers that you start your day at 9 AM generally means you’re willing to arrive at your first appointment at 9 AM. If your business closes at 5:00 PM, perhaps you would like to be done working by then, or maybe you’re willing for your last shoot to begin at 5:00 PM. Whatever your choice may be, the good news is that we now have a feature that allows you to choose between five unique scenarios depending on when you like to start/finish your day and whether orders are allowed to go past your business hours. The new feature is located under the “Settings” and “Scheduling Settings.” Once you’re there, look for the dropdown that says, “How would you like the system to book shoots around your business hours?” Choose one of the five options that best describes how you like to start and end your day, and the scheduling system will abide.

1-22-24
Calendar Color Picker – Are you tired of calendar color randomization? You may now choose a default color for your calendar as well as your booking zones! The chosen color for your calendar and each zone will remain the same each time you load your calendar. To set your colors on your linked calendar and booking zones, simply open up your RTV Calendar off your Dashboard, choose the calendar or zone you wish to set a color from the lefthand side, look for the three dots next to each one to click and change your color. It will save automatically!

1-18-24
Satellite View on Property Websites – We’re happy to inform you that all six RTV Property Website layouts allow for a satellite view toggle on the map portion of the page. Over the last few years this has been a popular request and we thank you for the great ideas and suggestions. Keep them coming, RTV fans and photographers!

1-16-24
One Click Unsubscribe & Email Delivery Upgrade – As you may already know, Google and Yahoo are going to start requiring that all bulk emails support one-click unsubscribe. On top of this they’re requiring you to add in some DMARC/DKIM records within your DNS records so they know that you’re actually the person sending the email. Both of these requirements are to help reduce SPAM. RTV now allows you to add up to six records into your DNS, essentially future-proofing your email send for the foreseeable future. With RTV you can take comfort in knowing that we’re making sure your delivery emails and traffic reports find their way to the inbox. You can find the email setup area under “Settings” and “Emails”. Ideally, you will want to achieve a score of 6 out of 6. This tees you up for optimal private-labeled email sending through the RTV system. Happy Sending!

1-16-24
Deliverables Action Log – Those of you who have multiple people working within your company will like the new activity log that we’ve added to the bottom of the Deliverables/Links section for both our Delivery Site and Delivery Email tabs. The action log shows you the date and time compiles occurred and when the deliveries were sent out to customers. Enjoy the new transparency!

1-15-24
Customer Profile & Property Details Lock – By popular demand, we now allow you to lock down the Delivery Sites ability to edit customer information and property detail information. By default, we have this turned on for you, but we’ve had several requests from customers to allow these two editable areas to be locked. You’ll find the settings in your Delivery Site settings.

1-15-24
Photo Feedback System – We’re pleased to announce that version one of our new Photo Feedback System is live. You can turn on Photo Feedback in your Delivery Site settings area. This feature lets your customers directly provide feedback on individual photos from your Delivery Site. They can even indicate which photos they want to purchase from you or have you perform edits on. Each time they provide feedback, you’ll receive a notification via email and can access the Delivery Site. This feature is especially valuable when working with large corporate accounts. The possibilities are endless with this unique communication tool created just for you and your customers. Enjoy!

1-10-24
New Order Date Filter – We’ve added a new filter so you can search through your real estate photography, aerial drone, and virtual tour orders directly from your “Orders” page. Simply choose a ready to go date range or select “Custom” to view orders within your own custom date range. Enjoy!

1-9-24
Customer Invoice Upgrade – Your invoices were upgraded at the start of the New Year! We’ve added your company name to the left side, and the company website and email address are now on the upper right side of the invoice for your customer’s convenience. Visit your Delivery Site and click on an invoice to see the new layout.

1-9-24
New Priority Video Creator – While the video ripper/reel maker will get a nice upgrade later this year, we’ve added a way for customers in need to jump to the front line. Now, for only $3.00, you can jump to the front of the social media video processing line. While working on this, we also upgraded the time estimation calculator for improved accuracy. Enjoy the faster video processing & look forward to several new video templates coming to the video creator section soon.

1-9-24
Zone-Based Mileage Fees – We are excited to inform you that you now can charge a travel fee based on total mileage or a specific “Zone” that an order falls in. You can also charge travel fees based on tiers of distance too! Look for this feature under your “Settings” section and click on “Service Area”. Enjoy!

1-9-24
Terms of Service (TOS) Agreement Pop-Up – Those of you who wish to add your terms of service to your Delivery Site or your Storefront will just LOVE our new feature that allows you to enforce your photography and image licensing terms of service upon checkout, upon photo delivery, or even both! To implement this feature, you must first establish your terms of service by adding them to your system. Click “Settings”, then “Order Settings”, then scroll to the bottom. This is where you enter your system-wide default Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. All of your Delivery Sites will use this Terms of Service policy. If you need a different Terms of Service policy used for Storefront orders, you can set a custom policy on the “Storefront Settings” page. Next, to enable the TOS agreement pop-up upon checkout from Storefront, you’ll flip the “Require TOS Agreement to Checkout (PayPal is not supported)” switch in the Storefront Settings area. To enable the TOS agreement pop-up on your Delivery Site, you’ll want to head over to your Deliver Site Settings by clicking on “Settings” and “Deliverable/Links”. Here, you will find two settings: “Require TOS to Pay” and “Require TOS to Access.” Require TOS to Pay will force the users to accept your terms of service upon payment. This does not work well if they’re sending you a check, so we’ve also allowed you to force them to accept your terms of service to access the Delivery Site entirely.

1-3-24
Photographer Order Edit – We’re excited to announce that you can now edit the photographer on an order during any status of an order, even a fully completed order. We’re working towards you being able to reschedule an order with a second photographer or even the same photographer again to come out a second time on the same order. It’s all in the works!

Thanks for your business trust and support!

Sincerely,

Jason & Team RTV

“Success with RTV from a Real Estate Agent’s Point of View
In early 2005 as the real estate market here in the Florida Keys started to slow, I could see I would have to brush up on my marketing skills and find better ways to expose my listings to potential buyers. With so many Florida Keys homes and condos sold as vacation homes, an online presence with great photos and virtual tours becomes essential. A few years earlier I was the first agent in our area to do virtual tours. I had tried the two-shot version but the results were not very good. Then the market got so hot, and properties were selling so fast, there was no real need to have tours. I could see the tide turning and I wanted to add virtual tours back to my listings so I started doing some research to find the best solution. After looking at a lot of low quality tours, I found RTV. Having taken some photography courses in college, and with over 30 years in the real estate business taking photos of houses, I decided to do the tours myself. My first RTV tour was of one of the highest priced homes in Key Largo. Shortly after submitting it, I received a call from a buyer who said his wife had seen a virtual tour on the Internet and she wanted him to take a look at the property while he was in the Keys. During the showing he called his wife at home and told her to look at the virtual tour again. They decided then and there to make an offer. They ended up buying the property. The wife never came to see it until closing. The selling price was $3.7 million.

Since then there have been other situations where a buyer’s partner or family member could not be present but the decision to go forward was based on the virtual tour. Many times in the course of showing one of my listings with an agent from another company, I hear the buyers talking about having seen the virtual tour on the Internet. It seems they find the listings and have their agent make the appointment which results in more showings and sales for my sellers. I have a contract pending on a property which is scheduled to close later this month. The buyers have never been inside the house. Asking price almost $3 million.

In spite of our market being down almost 50% in the number of sales, and the inventory being up almost 50% in the number of listings, this has been my best year ever in real estate with over $12 million in sales so far – and it is only April. Thank you RTV for helping take my career to a new level.”

“RTV, Best Service, Great Products!!!
We opened Photos Sell, real estate photography in January 2015. I found RTV during a search for a portal site so I could send high res images over the internet to my customers. When I called this company I was greeted by the owner himself. Jason LaVanture. Jason explained what RTV was about and what they can do for my new business. Great customer service, training, high res Virtual Tours and much, much more. After I signed up I got all of the above and much, much more. I received excellent training on the system. Instant help from customer support almost never got a voice mail and when I did they always got right back to me ASAP. The product is like nothing else, it set me apart from my competition. Look if your pictures are not good, they will no look good on any medium. I now work for 35 agents and exclusive with two large Brokers in our area. I am busy as hell. I read the complaints on this company and my response to those who complained is: you can’t make a living off the leads you get for RTV. You need to market you self, have a great product and provide great customer service. Look, I am no one special to RTV, just a customer and I have received outstanding service, their web portal works flawlessly and is easy to use and navigate. I can pickup the phone and speak to the Owner any time, he is a great resource and can be depended upon should you have a problem!! Thank you RTV. “I became a RTV Full Service Provider after I researched many different virtual tour software solutions and purchased several different packages from virtual tour companies in the industry. RTV wins hands down! Their tours are truly INTERACTIVE and professional quality. Unlike other software that can distort images and give the ‘fishbowl’ effect, RTV offers a superior software solution that forgives even the most amateur of photographers and allows professional photographers to REALLY show off their work. In the last year my company has produced more than 170 tours for both commercial and real estate applications and that number is growing daily. On top of our own marketing efforts, RTV has sent us MANY qualified leads! 95% of all the leads that they send us result in an immediate order! To top the cake, their support staff is ON THE BALL!! A BIG thank you to Torie, Jon, Jacque (tour track), Ben and especially Jason for all of their training, support and attention to detail. I have been known to be a little ‘fiery’ and passionate about my business, but they have always answered my support requests promptly and professionally! I highly recommend their software to anyone who is even considering doing their own tours in-house OR starting a virtual tour company. You simply CANNOT beat the level of support or quality of software.”
