Real Estate Photography System Updates – August 2024

Hello RTV friends and followers:

The RTV real estate photography and virtual tour system got many new and long-awaited updates during the month of August. Most notably, we added a photo replacement feature, a new way to zoom in on your media manager to help organize photos and more ways to import your images quickly and easily into the RTV system for faster uploads and image processing.

As we march into Fall, be on the lookout for more integrations, QuickBooks connectivity, and the launch of our new fast and streamlined way for you to utilize our virtual staging service. These updates are all about making your workflow smoother and your service offerings more impressive.

We’re programming this so you have more free time and a unique offering. Make sure you’re taking advantage of everything we have for you!!

8-28-24 – Private Listing Status – As a real estate photographer, you often know when a property is going to be listed long before the general public is made aware. Furthermore, some listings are kept very private and the fact they are for sale is not intended to become public knowledge. The correct handling of Private listings in real estate is vital, and if you were to accidentally push a private listing into a project gallery or, worse yet, blast it out to all of your customers in your Hot Sheet blast, it could create some legal problems for you. Our new Private Listing project status will help you keep your private listings completely off the grid and private. You can mark any of your projects as “Private” by clicking on the Information section of any of your projects, and from there, simply move the status banner to “Private Listing” and save your project. As a final failsafe, you may also want to put “ – Private Listing into the project title so you don’t miss it.

8-28-24 – Add-On Status Toggle – We’ve made it so the system allows you to turn on and off your “Add-Ons” from your public Storefront. This is a great feature for those who would like to have frequently used add-ons available to you on the admin level but do not appear on your public-facing Storefront. To toggle any of your Add-Ons on or off in your Storefront click in your “Settings” tab and navigate to “Packages & Add-Ons. Once there, click over to “Add-Ons” and feel free to edit the status of any of your Add-Ons. When the Add-On status is set to Inactive, it can only be added to an order from the Admin panel. Those visiting your Storefront will not see the Add-On. When set to Active status, the Add-On will appear in your Storefront. Enjoy!

8-14-24 – Google Drive Import – RTV makes it incredibly easy to import media into your project when you get files back from your editor. Many of you have grown accustomed to importing media into your project quickly and easily by using our One Drive or DropBox import feature. You’ll be happy to know that we’ve recently added Google Drive as a new import option. You can locate this new feature from your Media Manager by clicking “Import.”

8-14-24 – Cubi.Casa Media Manager Import – Cubi.casa users can now easily import the .jpg versions of their floor plans directly into the Media Manager. If you recall, we went live with our Cubi.Casa integration back in June. This new feature makes it even easier for those wanting also to show the floor plan in the virtual tour portion of their delivery but not necessarily create an interactive floor plan. You can locate this new feature from your Media Manager by clicking “Import.”

8-14-24 – Media Manager Zoom Control – By popular demand, users can now enlarge or decrease the size of the thumbnails in the Media Manager. The new feature is available on the left side of the media manager and can be activated by clicking on the magnifying glass with the plus or minus.

8-14-24 – Photo Replace – Real Estate Photographers creating walkthrough virtual tours and utilizing our Photo Feedback system will love our new Photo Replace feature. This allows you to easily replace a 360 panorama with existing hot spots and not have to add new hot spots to your panorama. It holds the information from the previous image and allows you to quickly “Replace” a 360 without losing connectivity. Those using the Photo Feedback system can easily make the requested updates, edits, and changes to the image and use the new “Replace” feature to maintain all of your comments in the feedback system. To use the new Photo Replace feature, access your Media Manager, double-click on the photo you would like to replace, and from the Scene Editor, you can click on “Replace”. It’s that simple!

8-7-24 – Payment Terms Filter – With our new Payment Terms filter, you can now easily see which of your customers you have set on Pay to Download, Invoice, or Prepay. Businesses will often move good customers from Prepay or Pay to Download to Invoice after establishing credit. You can now click on your Users tab to filter users set to individual payment terms and identify those deserving of being moved to Invoice.

8-1-24 – Syndication Filter – You’ll be pleased to know that we now have a Syndication filter added to your projects page. You can see a little red or green badge over your projects. This lets you know whether or not the project is being syndicated to the RSS feeds and the client’s Project Gallery Page. Watch our new tutorial that will teach you everything about syndication and red vs. green. Syndication Training Video

We’re in this for the long haul and dedicated to helping you dominate your market and seize every opportunity. We appreciate your business, loyalty, and support. Enjoy the updates!

Sincerely,

Jason & Team RTV

“Success with RTV from a Real Estate Agent’s Point of View
In early 2005 as the real estate market here in the Florida Keys started to slow, I could see I would have to brush up on my marketing skills and find better ways to expose my listings to potential buyers. With so many Florida Keys homes and condos sold as vacation homes, an online presence with great photos and virtual tours becomes essential. A few years earlier I was the first agent in our area to do virtual tours. I had tried the two-shot version but the results were not very good. Then the market got so hot, and properties were selling so fast, there was no real need to have tours. I could see the tide turning and I wanted to add virtual tours back to my listings so I started doing some research to find the best solution. After looking at a lot of low quality tours, I found RTV. Having taken some photography courses in college, and with over 30 years in the real estate business taking photos of houses, I decided to do the tours myself. My first RTV tour was of one of the highest priced homes in Key Largo. Shortly after submitting it, I received a call from a buyer who said his wife had seen a virtual tour on the Internet and she wanted him to take a look at the property while he was in the Keys. During the showing he called his wife at home and told her to look at the virtual tour again. They decided then and there to make an offer. They ended up buying the property. The wife never came to see it until closing. The selling price was $3.7 million.

Since then there have been other situations where a buyer’s partner or family member could not be present but the decision to go forward was based on the virtual tour. Many times in the course of showing one of my listings with an agent from another company, I hear the buyers talking about having seen the virtual tour on the Internet. It seems they find the listings and have their agent make the appointment which results in more showings and sales for my sellers. I have a contract pending on a property which is scheduled to close later this month. The buyers have never been inside the house. Asking price almost $3 million.

In spite of our market being down almost 50% in the number of sales, and the inventory being up almost 50% in the number of listings, this has been my best year ever in real estate with over $12 million in sales so far – and it is only April. Thank you RTV for helping take my career to a new level.”

“RTV, Best Service, Great Products!!!
We opened Photos Sell, real estate photography in January 2015. I found RTV during a search for a portal site so I could send high res images over the internet to my customers. When I called this company I was greeted by the owner himself. Jason LaVanture. Jason explained what RTV was about and what they can do for my new business. Great customer service, training, high res Virtual Tours and much, much more. After I signed up I got all of the above and much, much more. I received excellent training on the system. Instant help from customer support almost never got a voice mail and when I did they always got right back to me ASAP. The product is like nothing else, it set me apart from my competition. Look if your pictures are not good, they will no look good on any medium. I now work for 35 agents and exclusive with two large Brokers in our area. I am busy as hell. I read the complaints on this company and my response to those who complained is: you can’t make a living off the leads you get for RTV. You need to market you self, have a great product and provide great customer service. Look, I am no one special to RTV, just a customer and I have received outstanding service, their web portal works flawlessly and is easy to use and navigate. I can pickup the phone and speak to the Owner any time, he is a great resource and can be depended upon should you have a problem!! Thank you RTV. “I became a RTV Full Service Provider after I researched many different virtual tour software solutions and purchased several different packages from virtual tour companies in the industry. RTV wins hands down! Their tours are truly INTERACTIVE and professional quality. Unlike other software that can distort images and give the ‘fishbowl’ effect, RTV offers a superior software solution that forgives even the most amateur of photographers and allows professional photographers to REALLY show off their work. In the last year my company has produced more than 170 tours for both commercial and real estate applications and that number is growing daily. On top of our own marketing efforts, RTV has sent us MANY qualified leads! 95% of all the leads that they send us result in an immediate order! To top the cake, their support staff is ON THE BALL!! A BIG thank you to Torie, Jon, Jacque (tour track), Ben and especially Jason for all of their training, support and attention to detail. I have been known to be a little ‘fiery’ and passionate about my business, but they have always answered my support requests promptly and professionally! I highly recommend their software to anyone who is even considering doing their own tours in-house OR starting a virtual tour company. You simply CANNOT beat the level of support or quality of software.”
