Business Insurance

As a professional real estate photographer, aerial drone pilot, and virtual tour builder, you need to protect yourself and your business with General Liability Insurance.

What would happen if you accidentally knocked over an expensive Ming Dynasty Vase while setting up your camera and tripod? In most cases you would be held responsible and would need to pay for the damage.

What if the homeowner or sales agent that hired you to do a virtual tour made false accusations about you or your business? Defense costs alone could cost you thousands of dollars.

You can not afford to be without liability insurance for your business.  At RTV we recommend that you check out our recommended insurance supplier here – Photography Insurance

If you’re looking for short-term insurance (hourly, daily, by the job) have a look at Thimble

For Drone Insurance RTV Recommends the two following providers:

SkyWatch – Incredibly Affordable Annual & Monthly Plans!

Verifly – App-Based Hourly Plans for Drone Pilots

As of May of 2021 we are being told that liability is running between $250-$300/year on average. Those in Florida can expect to pay a bit more and that’s averaging closer to $500/year. If you choose to insure camera equipment too it will typically increase your premium up another $100-$200/year depending on how much equipment you wish to cover. Those looking for aerial drone insurance are finding the best luck with Verifly as most insurance companies are asking for closer to $1000 per year just for the drone side.
